poop road
there’s this one road right near my apartment that i walk through everyday to get to the train station. i often see people walking their dogs on this road. sometimes i see these crazy pigeons flying in circles over and over. don’t really know what that’s about but that’s not the point of this post. back to the people and their dogs. there is dog crap all over the place!
the road is lined by small parking lots, which means a lot of gravel and sand. apparently, it’s okay to not pick up your dog poo in japan. for a country so obsessed with being clean, recycling, etc. leaving FECES just laying around seems counterproductive. i don’t get it. i have to separate my trash into burnables and non-combustibles. if i eat an onigiri on the street, i have to hold onto my trash until i walk by a trashcan. (which are few and far between because of a terrorist group a few years back that was planting bombs in unattended trashcans)
why aren’t dog logs held to the same standard? i would think that leaving #2 on the ground is a great threat to national health and cleanliness. long story short, “do your duty, clean the dookie.”
(if you didn’t notice, i never used the same word for dog doodoo. i’m particularly proud of my knowledge of all things caca. and aren’t you glad i spared you a picture of the unchi? i was this *pinches fingers* close to posting a closeup…)

At least it wasn’t human feces like LT’s poop tunnel back in the day, right?? (BTW, mad props on the poop synonyms)
