busy sushi restaurant and seatbelts
recently, my japanese teacher and her husband took me to a sushi restaurant. i’ve been to a lot of sushi places because it’s one of my favorite foods, but until this point i had never seen a sushi place so packed. i guess the place knows they’re popular because their bench waiting area was huge. in fact, i think it might have been bigger than the customer seating…
something funny i saw was a kid seatbelt. it was literally a red cloth belt with velcro to hold their kid in the chair. japan comes up with everything. i’m sure i fell out of my chair and banged my head on the table at least a few times in my life (the latest incident occurring within the last few months…).
